While Cyberlink PowerDirector allows you to edit and create home movies and more, you can also uninstall it from your computer if the application is damaged or if you simply don’t like the program. Cyberlink offers you a free trial version of PowerDirector so you can get a feel for the video editing suite. If you still don’t enjoy the program, safely remove it from your computer using the Windows uninstaller.
1. Close PowerDirector if the application is currently running.
2. Click the Windows “Start” button, click the “Control Panel,” and then double-click “Add or Remove Programs” to launch the programs window if you are using Windows XP. Click “Uninstall a Program” or “Programs” if you are using Windows 7 or Vista.
3. Scroll down the list of installed programs and click “CyberLink PowerDirector.” Click “Remove” or “Uninstall” and type your administrator password if Windows asks for it. When the uninstall wizard launches, confirm you want to uninstall the application. The wizard removes CyberLink PowerDirector from your computer. Restart your computer.
