Music To A Video In Windows Movie Maker

Windows Movie Maker is a standard yet simple application used to edit video. You can do all of the basics with it such as crop video, combine multiple videos into one movie type file, or spice up your video with various enhancements. In fact, adding music is almost as simple as locating the audio file on your computer.

1. Open Windows Movie Maker and add in your video file either by importing it from a saved location or capturing it from a device. If you want to add more than one video file repeat the steps and then add them to the timeline by clicking and dragging them into the the video section.

2. Before you add audio you should edit your video if necessary. Once your video is finished click “import audio or music” under the capture video headline on the left sidebar. Locate the audio file on your computer and then click “open”. The file should now appear in your collection area along with your video file(s). If you want to add more than one audio file repeat this process.

3. Click on your audio file and drag it into the audio section of your timeline. You can now edit the length of your file by scrolling to the end to crop it. You can also adjust the volume of your audio by right clicking on it and then selecting “volume” from the menu. Right clicking on the file also gives you the options to mute your file or have it fade in or out.
