Instructions For An Aiptek Digital Camera

You can record the same content as a professional camcorder with your Aiptek device.

Aiptek is an electronics company that makes inexpensive portable devices, such as digital video cameras. These cameras record content onto an inserted SD card, allowing you to upload the data to your computer at a later date. The video cameras do come void of extra features which are found on more expensive camcorders, but for the price (generally around $100), it’s hard to complain.

1. Power on the Aiptek digital camera. There is a “Power” button on the rear of the camera. The camera uses AA batteries, so whenever the camcorder dies out, simply switch out the batteries. The battery compartment is on the bottom of the camcorder, so push out the cover on the compartment, then insert the new AA batteries and close the compartment back up.

2. Insert the SD card into the SD card slot on the side of the camcorder.

3. Press “Record” at any time to begin the recording process. Push it again to stop the recording.

4. Zoom into the image with the zoom feature, located above the record button. Press the right side to zoom in and press the left side to zoom out.

5. Plug the provided USB data cable into the USB port on the side of the camcorder, then insert the opposite end of the cable into a USB port on the computer system. Power on the Aiptek digital camera (if it isn’t already) and the computer states it has detected the device. Click “Start,” and “Computer,” then double-click the digital camera icon to load a window with all the files stored on the camcorder. Click-and-drag the files from the open window onto the computer to import the content to the computer system.
