Import An Avi To Photoshop

Photoshop is a well-known graphics and photo-editing application offered by the Adobe corporation. It is widely used to create web pages and ads and to retouch or repair photographs. But a less well known aspect of the program is its ability to edit video, such as an AVI. Editing AVI frames in Photoshop provides the user with the opportunity to use all the amazing tools, functions and features of Photoshop on all the frames or on only a few. For example, you might add a blue hue effect to all the frames to give the video a motion picture look. Alternatively, you can apply special effects to a few frames to do things like having a person throw lightning bolts. But first you must import your video.

1. Load the AVI file you want to work with onto your computer.

2. Open Photoshop. Select “File” from the menu and choose “Import.” From the options, choose “Import Frames to Layers.” In the dialog, locate the AVI file and open it.

3. Select the “Range of Frames” that you want to import. You can choose all of them or a particular section. Click “OK.” Each of the frames will appear as a layer in the “Layers” palette ready for you to edit them.
