Delete Frames In Youtube

Remove unwanted frames from a YouTube clip to reduce the size of the video.

Deleting frames from a video clip trims the size of the video and erases unwanted content that detracts from the viewing experience. YouTube allows users to remove frames from uploaded video clips, but only the beginning and the end of the clip can be edited. Delete frames from a video clip that you’ve uploaded to YouTube using the Video Editor tool on the YouTube website.

Instructions

1. Browse to YouTube.com and sign in to your account. Click the double-arrow button next to your YouTube username on the top menu. Select “Videos” from the pull-down menu to open the “My Videos and Playlists” page.

2. Click the “Video Editor” link in the submenu under the main navigation menu. The YouTube Video Editor opens on a new page. Scroll through the thumbnail display of your video clips in the main pane on the page.

3. Click the video clip that you want to edit. Drag it into the Clip Editor pane beside the video camera icon at the bottom of the page.

4. Hover your mouse pointer over the clip thumbnail. Click the “Scissors” button when it appears on the thumbnail. The Clip Trimmer opens in a new window.

5. Click the gray Clip Trimmer bar at the beginning of the video clip storyboard at the bottom of the pane. Drag the trimmer to the end of the section of the clip with the frames that you want to remove. Click the “Save” button to remove these video frames.

6. Click the gray Clip Trimmer bar at the end of the video clip. Drag the trimmer bar to select the frames that you want to remove from the end of the clip. Click the “Save” button to remove these video frames.
