Capture The Screen Of Any Video Frame

You can capture brilliant stills from the video display screen.

Early methods of capturing the display screen, such as pressing the “Print Screen” key, while a video is playing on the computer are fruitless today. This is due, in part, to technical limitations, but for some media, such as DVDs, it is by design to prevent illegal copying of video. Modern PC users have many avenues by which to obtain media, like Internet downloads and user-created videos, and they might wish to capture a moment or still from the video. If you have Windows 7, you can use a free tool to capture video frames.

1. Start the video. Pause the video on the frame that is to be captured.

2. Click “Start.” Type “Snipping Tool ” in the search box at the bottom of the “Start” menu. Press “Enter.”

3. Click the down arrow next to “New.” Select “Rectangular Snip.”

4. Drag the cursor to form a rectangle around the paused video frame. Release the mouse button when all of the video has been encased and wait for Snipping Tool to transition to another window.

5. Click “File.” Select “Save As.” Name and save the file to the hard drive.
