Avid Liquid 7 System Requirements

Avid Liquid 7 is a video editing suite that processes analog and digital videos.

Avid Liquid 7 is a standard and high-definition, or HD, video editing device for Windows systems that also lets you export video files to DVD discs. The device includes its own video editing software, Avid Liquid Pro; a collection of visual effects and the ability to convert analog video/audio to digital. Avid Liquid 7, like other devices and programs, has certain system requirements that your computer must meet for the device/software to operate properly.

Processor and Operating System Requirements

Avid Liquid 7 requires an Intel Pentium 4 1.8 Gigahertz, or GHz, processor system running Microsoft Windows XP Professional or Home Edition, Service Pack 1 or 2. For optimum video editing, Avid recommends an Intel Pentium 4 2.2 GHz or better processor system running Microsoft Windows XP Professional, Service Pack 1 or Service Pack 2.

Memory Requirements

The video editing package requires 512 Megabytes of Random Access Memory, but Avid recommends 1 Gigabyte of RAM for optimum video editing.

Graphic and Sound Requirements

Avid Liquid 7 requires an AGP 4X or similar graphics card with 64MB RAM and DirectX 9 hardware support for video processing and displaying. Avid recommends an AGP 8X or similar graphics card with 128MB RAM for optimum video editing. The video editing package requires an integrated or standalone sound card for audio processing.

DVD and USB Requirements

The video editing package requires a DVD-ROM drive to complete the software installation process and a DVD burner or combination DVD-ROM and burner to export video files to DVD discs. Avid Liquid 7 also requires a Pinnacle-certified USB 2.0 controller and port for connecting the package’s editing device to your computer.
